This week’s new lovelies

This week I have a big batch of new rosewrap headband that were just finished in some of my best selling patterns.  These are the last of these patterns rose hair bands.  I only use 1 yard of each material unless it is a super hot jungle print as I generally do 2 yards in those fabrics.

Today quote of the day:

If life gives you lemons (or limes), sit down with the one you love and enjoy a tasty cocktail like a cuba libre or margarita.

inspired from my hellacious last 24 hours of car issues.

Gypsy, Boho, Hippie or a little of each?

Layers, comfort, functionality, color and no care what anyone thinks.  That is what I am trying to exude with Gypsy Rose Studios Gypsy Rose Wraps, Peace Wraps and our one a kind hats and organic jewelry.  Big, Bold, Fun!

I got inspired to think about this a little more after this weekend at the Fort Pierce Farmer’s Market.  I had a hell of a week, storms, hole in muffler and yes even a cracked windshield on Thursday.  But I persevered and kept looking for my pot of gold.  I had a Karen Kane skirt I bought and loved.  Fabulous olive color gypsy flowing skirt with lots of embroidery.  I had snagged it earlier in the year on the car door and put a huge rip in the side of my A#$.  I just didn’t have the heart to part with it as I spent $90 for it.  Hubby personalized it for me with some Gypsy Studio love.  I will post a picture later.  I had more darn compliments on this repurposed skirt this weekend than on a brand new outfit I had just bought for summer.   I smile every time I look at this skirt, even when I took it out of the dryer yesterday.

Most of my customers, really do not care what anyone thinks of them.  They are the casual trendsetters who seamlessly do it without ever making an effort.   I also love the fact that most of us believers and converts do not need to embellish the face with too much makeup.  It is the inner beauty that shines though.  The gals I meet of all ages that love this lifestyle seem to care more, love deeper and live louder in the end.  The breaths they take are larger and enjoyed more.  The rainbows they see are brighter, and the people they touch in life are lucky they have a little ray of sunshine.

Liberate yourself with abandon!  Escape into a pile of mixed patterns, clashing colors, and funky fabrics.  It seems almost wrong to call the look a “trend” because all of the gypsy gals I know don’t let fashion rule their world, they use fashion to color their world however they want.  They take the best of all groups and throw them into a big punch bowl to create their own special recipe that shows their own personal style.

I watch conservative gals reach for the funky corduroys, argyles and paisleys Gypsy Rose Wraps they would never touch on a skirt or shirt.  I watch rough and tough cowgals grab the pinks and rhinestones cadet caps and yes I even see soccer mom reach for the tiger and leopard prints. I do hope that every gal I come across can release a little bit of her inner gypsy and wrap her world in a bit of color with the Gypsy Rose Studio hairbands and hats.

Enjoy the vid, I think she sums it up pretty good.

By the way I am starting a Quote of the Day  My serious ramblings of a gypsy girl busting to escape from the normal doldrums of society.

Today’s Gypsy Rose Studios quote of the day:

Farmer’s Market Fort Pierce

Little Miss Gypsy Rose!

Yesterday we debuted the Gypsy Rose Wraps out on the road at the Farmer’s Market in Fort Pierce.  Met some awesomely great peeps.  Jim, an incredible talented stain glass guy kept us all laughing.  This is a great venue folks to find some neat things.  I am pleased to say that there was not any other craft person with head bands like ours.  This place is set right on the water for the farmer’s market and all the crafters are in the little park next door.

Donna runs a very organized tight ship out there.  A healthy assortment of vendors.  They do limit in categories to protect the vendors so they make money.

There were two bread people there with enormous, fresh baked goods.  Fruit was super affordable.  And there was a plant lady selling some rather exotic looking crazy plants like the trap which eats mosquitoes.

I am going to be in trouble next week as I plan to do a little shopping after I am done!

Anyway here is one of our little models showing off a Gypsy Rose Wrap.  Gypsy Rose wraps are also on their way to Ontario and West Virginia with some tourist so YAY! we are going global!

We do have two new sassy fashion hair products that we hope to be adding shortly.  So stay tuned.  Again thanks to all the super nice people we met, very welcoming and the old timers seemed to appreciate a genuine hand crafted item.
